Knowing where your food comes from and how it was produced is important. To that end, we maintain careful records for each flock of birds in accordance with the On Farm Food Safety Assurance Program (OFFSAP) that is approved by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Chicken Farmers of Canada. These records include feeding information, bird health, barn and outdoor conditions, and water quality.
Food safety is of utmost concern at Farmcrest Foods. We operate an on-farm poultry processing plant that is government inspected as part of the provincial meat inspection program. Again, meticulous record keeping and protocols keep the food and our employees safe.
